Sales Coordinator and Office Admin

Shift: 9am-5pm


About Hen of the Woods and Your Role:

Hen of the Woods is an Ohio based snack food brand located in the historic West End of Cincinnati. What started as a restaurant and market concept has evolved over the years to a snack food brand with over 20 products, over 1000 retail locations in over 30 states and a belief that there is always a better way. Finally, after 7+ years of running and building Hen of the Woods, the 3 person leadership team needs some help on the back end so we can continue to focus on our growth!  We are looking for someone who can help support our our growing sales, marketing and operation initiatives!  We’re looking for a great communicator that is organized and enjoys learning new things. You will be an integral part of the team’s daily operations from the warehouse to the retailer and everything in-between. We are very excited to welcome this next person to the staff and grow the company with them!

Role Description:

Office Manager/Administrative Assistant

  • Respond to or properly distribute emails coming from our Contact Us form

  • Check phone messages each morning

  • Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail

  • Keep public spaces presentable

  • Answer office calls

  • Any other misc office related duties that come up on a regular basis such as ordering supplies

  • Daily/Weekly upkeep of essential company spreadsheets

Sales/Marketing

  • Onboard new customers to Quickbooks and our ordering portals (training provided)

  • Assist with new item forms (training provided)

  • Assist with retailer promotion forms (training provided)

  • Assist with sales presentation documents (training provided)

  • Create and ship out sample packages as needed

  • Help schedule virtual sales/marketing meetings

  • Assist social media manager with responses to Instagram and Facebook messages


Position Requirements:

  • Experience with the Google Suite of products. Training can be provided but proficiency with modern technology is a must.

  • Eagerness to learn

  • Highly organized

  • A personal laptop

  • Excellent communicator; verbal and written

  • Strong project management skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial/non-structured environment.

  • Likes a little chaos every now and then

  • Willing to be adaptable

  • Notices things that can be improved, exercises good judgment, and implements new organizational systems

  • Willingness to help with deliveries, e-commerce fulfillment and packaging Hen of the Woods products.

  • Quickbooks experience is a plus

  • Adobe suite experience is a plus

  • Must like kettle chips, or at least don’t hate them


Compensation Range:

  • $35,000-$40,000 Salary (contingent on experience)
